Boards
Boards are wood with the width cross-section more than twice the thickness and the thickness of less than 100 mm. There are two types of boards used in construction: single cutting boards or double cutting boards. Single cutting boards are obtained by cutting logs along one direction.
Beams
Beams (blocks) are wood products with the cross-sectional width less than twice the height. In practice, beams have a square or almost square cross-section, for example: 50×50, 100×120, 200×150 etc. Beams are most often used in construction as supporting structures, such as struts, columns, transoms, joists, beams, floor beams and others.
Roof timber
UAB Metalėja always offers properly packaged roof timber ready for transportation. Depending on the use, roof timber can be of different lengths. Roof is one of the most important structural and architectural parts of the building.
Roof battens
Longitudinal purlins (battens) in the pitched roof structure are necessary for several reasons. First of all, longitudinal battens ensure adequate air circulation under the roof covering (of course, only if the roof is installed correctly). In addition, spaces between purlins and the roof film made with longitudinal batten allows condensation to drain freely.
